Job Information

Professionals Nord is now seeking, in collaboration with Harju Elekter, an electrical designer focusing on low-voltage switchgear for the operation in Västerås. Harju Elekter is an international industrial group with over 50 years of experience in developing, manufacturing, and delivering solutions in electricity distribution, electrical power, and electrification. The company offers both standard products and customized comprehensive solutions for projects in energy, industry, and infrastructure. At the facility in Västerås, there are both offices and a modern production environment, which gives you the opportunity to follow and see the results of what you design. The assignment is part of our staffing services. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant for our client. The intention is that you will eventually be able to be directly employed by them, provided that all parties are satisfied.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical design and documentation work according to the project manager's guidelines and the client's specifications.
  • Prepare material specifications and conduct material preparations for production.
  • Ensure that the work complies with applicable standards and regulations regarding drawings, documentation, execution, and sizing, and keep updated on manufacturers' and suppliers' products.
  • Support production staff with technical expertise and solutions.
  • Participate in final testing and commissioning of electrical equipment, both in production units and at the customer.
  • If necessary, have technical and project responsibility towards partners and suppliers and ensure delivery according to the established budget.
  • Be responsible for maintaining timelines and ensuring deliveries according to agreed specifications and quality requirements.
     

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a relevant engineering degree in electrical power or equivalent, preferably with experience in low-voltage switchgear and substations
  • Has several years of experience in electrical design, with merit for experience in medium voltage and control equipment
  • Has experience in testing or commissioning, network stations, or transformer stations (merit)
  • Has knowledge of EPLAN and/or Solid Edge (merit)
